Amazon.com Product Description Tough and rugged enough for any workout regimen or outdoors training, this shock-resistant Casio Baby-G women's sport analog/digital watch (model BG1500A-1BV) is also very precise thanks to its atomic timekeeping features. It features a stylish black resin case and silver top ring, which frames a black dial face with three digital subdials (which display day, date, and the 1/100-second stopwatch). Other timing features include world time from 48 cities, 12/24-hour display, autocalendar (to the year 2099), and hourly time signal. This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for recreational snorkeling. It also offers a tapered black resin strap, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight. This radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from Fort Collins, Colorado, and signal reception is possible within a radius of about 2,000 miles from the Fort Collins transmitter. You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

Just What I Wanted May 13, 2007 D. Maki (Wisconsin) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'd been looking for an atomic watch for over a year. Most were made for men..and some of the styles were all right, but when I saw this one, I knew it was the one for me. When I got it, I simply followed the directions for synching the time, and it's been terrific ever since.
Smaller and simpler than expected! August 27, 2008 M. Lam 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this watch because I needed a new Baby-G since my old one was getting dirty (it was one of the blue gelly ones). The atomic time adjustment is definitely this watch's big selling point, but it is also a pretty classy looking watch for a Shock resistant sports watch. I was worried about all the comments about complicated buttons and the size of the watch itself and so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the watch is actually smaller than my other Baby-G and that the directions make the watch very simple to operate. I also liked that the functions for the buttons are labeled on the backside of the watch, leaving the front face looking uncluttered. It certainly doesn't look like it's a digital watch due to it's major analog component, but it still has the perks of a digital watch, with an alarm and digital time, date, and day read-out. (I personally don't use the stopwatch, countdown watch, or the world time but those are nice too).
The LED light is orange and lights up the face pretty well, however it does not quite reach the top two digital displays. You can set the length of time the light stays on as well, and since the analog hands glow in the dark, the light really isn't that necessary to begin with unless you need to see where the numbers are on the watch. But for those who know the basics of analog watches (like where twelve, three, six and nine o'clocks are) it shouldn't be a problem.
I am very happy with this watch and despite my early concerns when I first ordered it, seeing it in person and actually using and wearing it banished all those worries in a heartbeat.
I would definitely recommend this watch to any woman who needs a classy looking, accurate, and reliable watch!
Great watch October 2, 2008 SOLD 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Overall I think this is a great watch. This does not have as many features as a timex ironman as far as keeping time for running laps, training, and storing that info, but this will serve my purposes. I actually have a timex that I use just for running. If you are getting this watch with the intent of keeping time on your different training days for running then this is not the watch you need. It does have a stop watch with one split, but you can't review or store any of the info like you can on other watches.
Having said all of that, that was not the reason I bought this watch. I got it to use at the gym while working out or playing ball. Also it doesn't look too bad when wearing it for everyday use. It is very sturdy and actually comfortable. The atomic feature was easy to set up as long as you read the directions. The other features are also easy as long as you read the directions. The face is a little bit bigger than the ladies timex ironman, but not a reason not to buy it. It is significantly smaller than the mens g-shock watches. Band is a decent size. My wrist is about 6.5" and there are 3 holes left (to make it smaller). A friend of mine has a much smaller wrist and has the same watch. I think it looks fine on her, doesn't look too big or out of place. That's actually the reason I bought it.
The hands are off -- Not anymore! October 25, 2009 Anna J 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The watch is great, no too big at all, but I give it three stars, because the watch hands do not go to the time set, but the minute one is about two minutes and a half ahead of the time that I manually set!??
Does perhaps anyone have the same experience? How to repair this?
P.S. I originally gave the watch three stars because the digital and analog times were not the same which was really bugging me, but I'm giving it five stars now -- I contacted Casio with the problem and they sent me a link to online manual (which I cannot post here), so for anybody with a similar problem:
To Adjust Analog Time (as in the Manual)
1. In the Timekeeping Mode press "C" (*look the enclosed instructions for which button is which) five times to enter the Hand Setting Mode.
2. Hold down "A" until the current digital time starts to flash which indicates the setting screen.
3. Use "D" or "B" ro adjust the analog setting as described below:
(a) When you want to move the hand setting forward 20 seconds, press "D".
(b) When you want to move the hand setting a short way forward at high speed, hold down "D"; release "D" when the hands reach the setting you want.
(c) When you want to move the hand setting a long way forward at high speed, while holding down "D" to move the hands at high speed, press "B" to lock the high-speed hands movement. To stop the hand movement, press any button. Hand movement stops automatically if the hour hand makes one full (12-hour) revolution.
4. Press "A" to exit the setting screen.
- The minute hand will be adjusted slightly to match the seconds when you exit the setting swcreen.
- To return to the Timekeeping Mode, press "C".
The digital and analog times are the same now by the very second! :)
Love it! January 7, 2010 D. S. Pawlak (Fredericksburg, VA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Received the watch yesterday and I was very relieved to know that it isn't as big as other customers have said. I am a fan of Casio watch. I have one of the first Baby G series that I have owned for 13 years and amazingly is still working.
As for this baby G atomic watch, it fits my wrist perfectly without looking like I'm borrowing my hushand's (I am Asian and very thin). However, the case is rather thick, but it's not a problem for me. Another great fact is I don't have to take it to the watch shop to punch another hole so it fits my wrist.
The minute hand also displays the correct digital time. I like the fact that I can see the day (on the upper left dial), month-date OR digital time (on upper right dial), and seconds (bottom dial). I live in Fredericksburg, VA and the receiving indicator is full (3 bars).
Overall, I'm very pleased with this watch.
