Great Watch! December 1, 2009 HikerJoe (Colorado / Germany) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I have been looking to get a Pathfinder for quite a while and I just couldn't decide on what Model to get. As soon as I saw this watch at Amazon I thought to myself hey this could be the one! When I saw the price I didn't hesitate and ordered it right away. So far this watch is great! All readings were pretty accurate and the overall quality is good. I'm not much a fan of Resin bands but it is pretty comfortable and seems to be pretty durable to. If you're looking to get a Pathfinder and don't want to spend an arm and a leg get this watch!

I have been looking for a watch with the Altimeter function, at the right price.
It is interesting, to see, when you are travelling, especially by plane, all the different heights and locally, in hilly country, all the different levels one achieves.
The other functions give a weather prediction for when out walking in the Lake District; alarm for reminders, to perform social functions etc. all in all a damn good tool!
Swiss Army Knife of Watches December 28, 2009 El Pirata (CALIFORNIA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product was as described and then some. The multitude of functions is amazing. Once they figure how to stuff a GPS unit in there anyone should be able to operate it. As it is, the user really needs to know how and why he/she needs all of the functions. As a reluctant hiker (my significant other is crazy--but I mean that in a loving way)I was quite pleased to know that I had so much information literally at my fingertips--why whould one need to know so much? Was told that it WAS necessary: OK.
Well built and reasonably priced. Casio sure has come a long way since I purchased my first watch. (Maybe one bell, no whistles on that particular watch other than multiple alarms). Managed to lose it, with the multiple alarm set, somwhere in a sofa at home--I think? (was traveling a bit those days). The alarms would go off but I could never find the darn thing. Drove me crazy at first. Finally the noise just became part of the ambiance and it was a guaranteed conversation starter. We always knew what time it was in London and other places. The cats were not amused.
Excellent sporty watch for < 100 $ December 20, 2009 Nihar Mohanty (Manhattan, US) Nice multi-functional watch with a compass, barometer, thermometer and altimeter. All functionalities except the thermometer and the altimeter are pretty useful without any noticeable time lag. The thermometer is mostly inaccurate since it reads your body temperature when on the wrist (needs to be kept at ambient atmosphere for a solid 30 min before it stabilizes). Due to the non-GPS based altimeter sensor (uses air pressure as a scale), it has to be calibrated and hence is relative (not absolute). LCD is huge and backlit is perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a not too expensive outdoorsy watch.
Great Outdoor Watch December 21, 2009 Anton V. Marchuk (New York, NY USA) Excellent outdoor / camping watch. A bit bulky but offers excellent function with good controls.
