Initial Feedback on Casio Sports watch AW80V-5BV December 24, 2007 Scott Mcarthur (Calgary, AB) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this watch as I was looking to replace an old dual analog / digital Casio I had had for over 10 years. The new one looks sharper and has more features, though it is a bit thicker. I really like that the hands glow in the dark, and have found even several hours later I can still read the time in the dark. Instructions were a bit hard to read in the enclosed booklet so I downloaded a 3 page PDF summary from the Casio home page. Quite like that I can see the time and the day / date of week at a glance and then switch and change to see a different time zone that I am currently visiting.
Great Traveler's Watch! March 25, 2009 Mark Levy (Oakland, California) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
For the experienced traveler an excellent value at $21 for the following reasons:
1. Easier to set than my much more expensive Seiko and Nike watches
2. Has more world time zones than my Seiko watch
2. Very comfortable strap that can be precisely adjusted for the swelling of the wrist in hot climates.
3., Rugged yet quite good looking,
4. Not bulky or heavy
5 .With 10 year battery you don't have to worry about the watch stopping abroad in remote areas .This has happened to me before with other batteries,
I will be taking this watch with me to the Himalayas this summer!
So far so good ! January 15, 2007 K. Yip 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This watch is similar in functions to the casio watch that I bought ~10 years ago.
So far so good. Though you may not be able to guess the button combinations, it's very easy after you read the manual.
I feel that I can use this one for another 10 years.
Great Watch April 12, 2009 On the Lake (Beaver Island, MI) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My Timex digital's battery was gone so I looked for a combination digital and analog and found this. Two alarms and Casio lets you go forward and backward on the digital programming, something Timex doesn't. It's no thicker than a Timex, not like my Movado but it's a utility watch. A little complicate to understand the programming and the first thing you do is pitch the tiny instructions and get the 8 ½ x 11 PDF file you can actually read. Casio's buttons are the same layout as Timex so that's helpful if you are a Timex fan. I have a thin wrist and the band works great for me.
The Telememo thing looks like a complete waste of time and effort but other than that it's well worth the price.
